The garra rufa fish are packed in plastic bags containing 1/3 of water and 2/3 of pure oxygen and then wrapped in paper. The plastic bags are placed inside an insulating Styrofoam box and heat packs are inserted inside the boxes to keep the temperature of the water at a comfortable 21 degrees. The Styrofoam boxes are covered by cardboard to protect the boxes against any possible harmful encounters during transport.
